Snow fell from the sky, the winter breeze sneaking under the warm layers of leather as Adam sat in the woods. The leaves had fallen and the snow was still a light powder. He was traveling with Zelta to go to a new cave they had heard about. News was that the cave had a hot spring and maybe even some treasure. Adam had wanted to see if it was true and Zelta didn’t mind to go on a small adventure but the snow was unexpected. Sure it was the cold season, but the storm was completely random, just appeared out of nowhere. Zelta sniffed around before going over to Adam. He was running through the snow, throwing small snowballs around. Zelta couldn’t help but chuckle at his little friend have fun.
“Adam, come on, we need to keep going! If not we will freeze out here!”
Adam nodded and walked with the long serpent dragon. His white scales glistened against the white snow. The one thing Adam loved more than the sleek scales of Zelta was his golden mane. It started on his forehead and went all the way to his tail. He had seen it catch on fire with golden flames on command. Zelta’s long golden whiskers poked from his large snout. His entire head was bigger than me, let alone his length to be the size of what Adam could only imagine to be about thirty humans long. The nakazi’s giant claw was big enough for Adam to hold onto and ride with ease. Each step was a fun ride for him as the dragon looked down to see Adam with chattering teeth, “Will you be ok?” Adam didn’t say a word but nodded.
Zelta didn’t like the way his friend looked. Not at all. He shook his head and held his right claw next to his snout, “You sure you don’t need any warmth? If you keep this up, you’ll hurt yourself. Adam couldn’t say anything as his pale skin was turning blue, his jacket was covered in snow as the harsh winds blew harder. He shivered like a leaf as he clung to Zelta.
The dragon looked around then smiled slightly, “I will keep you warm, just trust me.” Adam knew what he was going to do. Zelta opened his maw and placed Adam on his slobbery tongue. Adam shivered more from the gross feeling than the cold like always. Zelta knew that his friend hated this even though it is a useful tool for many things.
The dragon started to walk, his warm breath curling around Adam as it puffed out from clenched teeth. Adam laid still, not wanting to slide down the fleshy throat of Zelta, “Hey.. You won’t eat me will you?”
Zelta sighed as he spoke through his mental link with Adam, I am sorry, but you must be warm, I can’t let you get into harm because of the cold, you will die if you do.
“Please Zelta! I don’t like it down there… it’s dark!” The dragon used the tip of his tongue to lick Adam’s face gently.
It will be ok, I promise, just close your eyes and rest. I will wake you when we reach a warm area of the cave. Whichever comes first. With that, Zelta slowly tilted his head back, making Adam slide down. He grabbed Zelta’s back teeth and held on tightly, hanging over the abyss of pleading darkness, the fleshy red walls seemed to gulp and beg for him.
“ZELTA! NO!” Shouted Adam. He hated it, he honestly hated it, but, Zelta on the other hand seemed to enjoy himself a little too much. Adam’s hands started to slip as Zelta tilted back more and yawned, making Adam lose his grip and fall, “ZELTAAA!” He fell into the warm depths of flesh, the folds in the giant muscles grabbed his small body and slowly sent him down the long throat. He grabbed and tried to climb. He flailed his arms and legs, just hoping to get his grip on anything. His attempt was futile as his fingers tried to grab the slimy flesh, making him slide down. A flap under him gripped his legs and forced him down.
SPLASH! Adam landed in a large warm chamber as it growled. The space was coated with warm liquid as he laid still. The muscles clenched and started to tighten, liquids spewed from the walls as it filled the once giant chasm. Adam placed his arms against the fleshy walls and pressed outward as they closed in. He was being squished at this point, the warm liquids up to his neck as the stomach walls rubbed against him. His arms flailed as his legs kicked.
A loud purr shook Adam as Zelta looked down, Adam, you are safe, I promise, it is ok. You can relax or keep struggling, it feels great either way… look… I’m sorry… but if there was another way to keep you warm I would do so. Adam stayed silent as he sighed and closed his eyes, drifting to sleep out of frustration. Zelta could feel the uneasiness in the air as he shook his head, “Sleep tight Adam, I will let you out soon… I promise.”
The mighty nakazi leaped to the sky and started to fly through the mighty snow storm. His mane was covered with golden flames, melting the path through the dark night, “I promise Adam… Once you wake… We will be there… We will be safe… I swear.”

Daylight was shining down upon the land of Kackeruth, light striking every surface it could. Despite the bright daytime, the Northern land was very cold. Water had been frozen solid and needed to be broken to get any water, animals and food were scarce because of a lack of plants to feast off of. Many People died every year because of the spine-chilling weather that lurked around every year, waiting to take the lives of it's next victims. It was like a game of predator and prey, where the environment was the predator and everything else is the prey.
